JERRY W. MORROW
CLOUDLAND, GA: Jerry W. Morrow passed peacefully with his entire family surrounding him on September 11, 2012 after a brave battle with cancer.
The Rossville, GA native graduated from Rossville High School in 1965, attending North Georgia Technical School in Clarksville, GA where he met his future wife of 43 years, Mary Moon.
He wasn’t drafted but enlisted in the U.S. Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He was a pipefitter/refrigeration mechanic and a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 43 where he taught the apprenticeship program for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration for 23 years.
Jerry was an amateur photographer most of his life; he loved nature, wildflowers, working in the yard, animals, all of God’s little creatures. He rescued countless dogs and cats over the years and they all adored him in return. Jerry loved his country, his work, his students, but most of all he loved the Mountain.
