JERRY FERGUSON, SR
TRENTON, GA: Jerry Wayne Ferguson, Sr., age 75 passed away Monday, August 4, 2014. He was retired from TVA and was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Jerry was a 1957 Peabody High School All-American Quarterback; he played for Georgia Tech on a football scholarship and was inducted into Gibson County Sports Hall of Fame in 2011.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Monique Ferguson.
Survivors include his wife, Theola Ferguson; daughter, Sandy (Max) Woodfin; son, Jerry Wayne (Angela) Ferguson, Jr.; brother, Harold Ray Ferguson; four grandchildren, Stacey Dill, Joey Ferguson, Hillary Woodfin and Erika Woodfin; two great grandchildren, Ashlyn Fox and Sidney Ferguson.
