Bill was a kind hearted man with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing from the pier in the Florida sunshine, carving intricate wood figures, working cross word puzzles and studying maps. Along with his love for chocolate, he loved sharing stories of his childhood and the history of his surroundings. He was an avid reader and very knowledgeable on many subjects. His positive outlook and gentle spirit were a blessing to everyone lucky enough to be a part of his life. It is said of Bill that he always left you feeling better than he found you. His memory will be a lasting influence on both his family and friends as it was on many young men as a scout leader for several years. He enjoyed the simple life and Bill was loved by all who knew him. He will be missed greatly by his family and we look forward to seeing him again someday. In the meantime we know he is working on his “cabin in the sky”. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
