Mr. James "Jimmy" Knight

James Julius “Jimmy” Knight died Monday, April 26, 2021, in Chattanooga, TN. He was 92.
Jimmy was a native of Hinds Co. Mississippi and for the last 25 years made his home in Trenton, GA. He was a loving father and devout Christian who was devoted to his family and his church family. He was a member of the Sand Mountain United Methodist Church. He loved to travel, enjoyed the outdoors fishing and hunting and looking at Mountain Views from his back deck.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Scott and Lula Leola Moody Knight; his 3 sisters. Lula Leola Reed, Ruby Ray Puckett and Frances E. Freeman and his 3 brothers, William Knight, John Robert Knight and Mack Thornton.
Survivors include his wife, Willie Jean Knight of Trenton, GA, his son, James Jay Knight (Leslie) of Cleveland TN, his grandson Jordan (fiancé Mikaya Reynolds) of Chattanooga.
Due to COVID, private graveside services will be held in the Brown Gap Cemetery with Chris Dover officiating.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Sand Mountain Methodist Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Moore Funeral Home, Trenton, GA.
