James Troy Huckabee

James Troy Huckabee, aged 76, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2024, at his home in Bryant, AL. 

A funeral service to honor Troy's life will be held at 2:00 PM ET on Monday, October 7th, at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM ET and on Monday from 12:00 PM until the service hour. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Whited Cemetery.

Born on September 2, 1948, to Elree and Anna Whited Huckabee, Troy was raised in the Lookout Valley, Tennessee area. He dedicated many years to his profession as a truck driver and honorably served in both the United States Army and the National Guard. He cherished his grandchildren, appreciating the joy they brought into his life. Troy expressed his gratitude to Ricky Higdon for guiding him back to church and to Amanda and his grandchildren for their devoted care.

He is survived by his children, Amanda (Curtis) Huckabee, Becky (Corbin) Davis, and Chris (Sherry) Worley. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Leanna, Allyssa, Ethan, Aron, Keldon, Addison, Olivia, Carson, Tyler, Kristen, Hailey, Holly, Justin, and Braylen. Troy was also a proud great-grandfather to Blakelynn, Oakleigh, Kristopher, Grayson, and Ellorie. He is also survived by his siblings, Wayne Huckabee, Robert Huckabee, Dale Huckabee, and Janice Faye Williams, along with his aunt, Helen Norris, and uncle, Martin Whited.

In addition to his parents, Troy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vera Earline Huckabee.

His family and friends will always remember him for his kindness, love, and the cherished memories they created together.
