PISGAH, AL: James Arthur Black, age 93 passed away, Friday, August 16, 2013. He was employed by Broadway Construction. He was a United States Army World War II Veteran and member of American Legion Post #214.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Fannie Black; half brothers, Henry, Alberry, and Eli Black; half sister, Betsy Ann Owens; brothers, Ivan Black, Ernest Black; sisters, Rosa Presley ,Ollie Norwood, Lucy Keith and Hazel Mashburn.
He is survived by one brother, Irvan (Sarah) Black, Tunnel Hill, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM EDT Monday, August 19, 2013 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Wayne Guffey officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be held in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Sunday 3:00 PM ~ 9:00 PM EDT Monday 11:00 AM ~ 2:00 PM EDT
