Bryant, AL: J.D. West, age 73, passed away, Wednesday, July 3, 2013. He retired from U.S. Pipe with 33 years of service. He was a carpenter, gardener and loved the outdoors and played softball for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Edith West and brother, Joe West.
Survivors include his loving family, wife, Patsy West; daughters and husbands, Karen and Anthony Swafford, Bryant, Connie and Dennis Welden, Flat Rock; sons and wives, Ronnie and Jenne West, Bryant, Randy and Kelly West, Bryant; sister, Joyce Roddy, Bryant; brothers, Ralph West ,Rayburn West, Kenneth West all of Bryant; six grandchildren, Jeremy Bell, Mitch Swafford, Jennifer Rimas, Andrew Leon, Noah West and Briley West; four great grandchildren and special friend, Joey Howard.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM EDT Saturday, July 6, 2013 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend David Moses and Reverend Donny Johnston officiating. Burial will be held in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday 12:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM EDT Saturday 11:00 AM ~ 2:00 PM EDT
