IMOGENE SMITH
TRENTON, GA: Imogene Pemberton Smith, age 63, passed away September 14, 2015. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister that loved gospel music, golfing, and ginseng hunting. She was a member of Straightway Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kelly M. Smith, and her parents Defell and Mary Imogene Pemberton, and sister Linda Cross.
She is survived by her husband of forty-six years, Merrill Smith; daughters Vaniecia (Tim) Ferguson, Trenton, GA., Abby (Chris) White, Bryant, AL.; son Matthew (Cindy) Smith, Flat Rock, AL.; sisters Wilma (David) Vann, Bryant, AL., Peggy Walker, Ider, AL.; brothers J. C. Pemberton, Bridgeport, AL., Johnny Pemberton, Bryant, AL., and Troy (Linda) Pemberton, Bridgeport, AL.; seven grandchildren Jesse Seals, Toby (Megan) Seals, Jordan (Haleigh) White, Alison White, Brittany, Matthew, and Jacob Smith; four great-grandchildren Haylea Gifford, Kirra, Nathaniel, and Aeden Seals, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM EDT Thursday, September 17, 2015 in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Bone officiating. Burial will follow in Straightway Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM EDT ~ 8:00 PM EDT Wednesday, September 16; Thursday 9:00 AM ~ 3:00 PM EDT
