Willie "Little Goat" Rondal Nunley, aged 80, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, at his home in Trenton, GA. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, whose presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service to honor Goat's life will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home, with Brother Dewayne Moon officiating. The family will welcome friends for visitation at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the service begins. Following the service, Goat will be laid to rest at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
Goat was born on December 16, 1944, in Tracy City, TN, to the late Houston and Ruby Nunley. From a young age, he knew he had found his soulmate in Gail. Together, they built a life rooted in love and shared over 63 years of devotion to one another. Though Goat was a man of few words, his love for his family was always clear. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and had a unique passion for chickens.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gail Nunley; daughters Doniece (David) Moon, Robin (Todd) Torres, and Regina Ellis; sisters Kat Stiles, Deborah Pack, Bonnie (Monroe) Conner, and Evelyn Bowen; brother Johnny Nunley; grandchildren Evan (Tina) Powell, Brandon (Brandy) Simmons, Laci Ray, Allison (Justin) Vice, Alexandra DeBenedetti, Dillon (Kelsey) Moon, Dakota Ellis, and Houston (Blair) Moon; along with 11 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
In addition to his parents, Goat was preceded in death by his brothers David and Freddy Nunley.
Goat’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
