Mr. Glen Riley Whitley

GLEN WHITLEY

TRENTON GA: Glen R. Whitley, born July 23, 1947 passed away on Saturday February 13, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Glen was the song leader at Sand Mountain United Methodist Church. He was a proud United States Army Vietnam War Veteran and was part of the first graduating class of North Sand Mountain in 1965.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and W.R. Whitley; daughter, Kelly Dawn Whitley and granddaughter, Natalie Jane Whitley; brothers, Ralph Whitley Jr., Johnnie Lee Whitley; sister, Kathryn Vance.

Survived by his wife of 52 years, Frances Snapp Whitley; son, Shane (Jessica) Whitley; daughter, Juria Sitz; grandchildren, Jeffery (Kelsey) Sitz, Kimberly Whitley, Michael Whitley, Kayleah Whitley; great grandchild, Adalyn Sitz; brothers and sisters, Joe (Jackie) Whitley, Carol Sharpton, Douglas Whitley, Calvin Whitley, Charles Whitley, Helen (Steve) Townson, Stanley (Lisa) Whitley, Marlene (Michael) Buff; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM EST Wednesday, February 17, 2021 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Williams and Reverend Chris Dover officiating. Interment will be held at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM

Pallbearers will be Justin Brown, John Culpepper, Jason Brown, David Snapp, Brandon Whitley, Dustin Whitley
