George Hampton Sullivan peacefully passed away at his home in Trenton, GA, on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the age of 101.
George dedicated many years of his career to Dyer Lumber Company, where he was known for his no-nonsense approach to work. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially spending time with his family. He had a passion for flea marketing, whittling, and woodworking, and he found peace in the quiet moments of fishing. George was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his children, Tim (Lisa) Sullivan, Darlene Sullivan, and Allan (Debbie) Sullivan. He deeply cherished his grandchildren, Eric (Angela) Sullivan, Misty Sullivan, and Kayla (Mike) Williams, as well as his great-grandchildren, Avery, Aaron, Ellie, Tierney, and Malone.
George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ollie Sullivan; his daughter, Oma Lee Sullivan; his parents, Cade and Ella Sullivan; and his siblings, Ruby Davidson, Edsel Sullivan, Bill Daniels, and Jack Tinker.
A graveside service to honor George’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Baptist Cemetery in Trenton, Georgia. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life, reflect on his legacy, and remember the lasting impact he had on those who knew him.
