LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, GA: George Russell Smith, age 72, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at his home. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, playing music, and attended West Brow Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas and Margaret Edna Smith, foster parents, Roy and Mae Farmer; three brothers, John Isaac Smith, David Troy Smith, and William Thomas Smith, Jr.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty years, Daisy Sharp Smith, ; daughters Yvonne Rashelle Wells (Tommy), Chattanooga, TN; Regina England, West Brow, GA; sister Rose Evans, North Carolina; foster sisters Anna Lou Tindell, Lenoir City, TN; Mary McNabb, Lenoir City, TN; Leo Bishop, Chickamauga, GA, Earl Mayes, Knoxville, TN; foster brothers Gene Foster, Rossville, GA, Howard Farmer, Lenoir City, TN; three grandchildren David Wells, Colty Wells, Joshua England; two great-grandchildren Angel Frizzel, Ashley Lovelace; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM EDT Saturday, March 16, 2013 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Smitherman officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
Visitation Thursday 5:00 ~ 9:00 PM; Friday 4:00 ~ 9:00; Saturday 9:00 AM ~ 11:00 AM.
