Eric Kirkpatrick

Christopher Eric Kirkpatrick, age 47, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a resident of Bryant, Alabama.

Eric was a beloved husband and father whose greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Stephanie Kirkpatrick, and a loving father to his three daughters, Kali, Brenley, and Kinsley Kirkpatrick. Eric was deeply involved in their lives. He was their daddy, coach, encourager, and protector.

Eric was a faithful member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher and was actively involved in church life. Eric spent his last days letting his friends and family know the need of knowing a risen savior.

He was well-known in the South Pittsburg community, having previously owned and operated Kirkpatrick's FoodLand with his father and brother.

Eric had a passion for golf and loved spending time on the course with his girls and his dad. He spent the rest of his free time watching football, basketball, and golf with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie; daughters, Kali, Brenley, and Kinsley; father Eddie Kirkpatrick and mother Pam Kirkpatrick; sister, Amy (Jeff) Saylors; brother, Jason (Angela) Kirkpatrick; in-laws, John and Barbara Smothers; brother-in-law, Matthew (Taylor) Smothers; aunt, Deb Leonard; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dewitt and Sue Leonard, and James and Glennice Kirkpatrick.

A funeral service to celebrate Eric’s life will be held on Thursday, April 10th at 2:00 PM CT (3:00 PM ET) at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home, with Brother Steve Townson officiating. He will be laid to rest at Oak Lawn Memorial Park in Bryant, Alabama.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM CT (4:00 – 8:00 PM ET) and Thursday from 12:00 PM CT until the service hour.

Eric will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the love he shared so freely. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
