EDNA DANIEL
RISING FAWN, GA: Edna Earl Daniel, age 88, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 25, 2016. Edna was the cafeteria manager at Gillen School until her retirement in 1987. She was a member of New Lookout Baptist Church.
Edna was born August 9, 1927 in McRoberts, Kentucky to John Leonard and Dixie Satterfield Miller. Her family moved to Chattanooga when she was a young child. Edna loved to reminisce about her happy childhood in Chattanooga. She later moved to Lookout Mountain with her family where she met and married Elmer J. (Cotton) Daniel, who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, son Ronnie Daniel, grandson Paul Daniel, daughter-in-law Crista Daniel, brothers Morris Miller and Bob Miller, sisters Betty Sue Moore and Mary Ruth Moore.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Geary Daniel and Lynn (Carol) Daniel, grandchildren Kelley (Ben) Hoagland and Matthew Daniel, great-granddaughter Caroline Hoagland; brothers Johnny Miller, Junior Miller and Kenneth Miller, sister Dixie Ann Powell, several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, January 29, 2016, in the Trenton Chapel with Brother Johnny Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday 4:00 ~ 8:00 PM; Friday 10:00 ~ Noon EST
