Earl Wooten

Mr. Earl Andrew Wooten, a resident of Hollywood, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at his residence at the age of 73.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM ET on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Bryant Cemetery with Pastor Brad Bridges officiating. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM ET.

Earl was born in Trenton, Georgia on June 1, 1951, to his parents, Lige and Little Mae Wooten and had previously resided in Bryant before moving to Hollywood, Alabama in 2016. Earl worked in the tree trimming business for several years with Asplundh and Hill’s Tree Service. He also worked in Chattanooga, Tennessee with Rock Tenn as well. Earl enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was a good-hearted, loving, giving person who was always willing to help anyone. Earl’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, Earl is also preceded in death by two brothers, Junior Wooten and Walder Wooten, and five sisters, Carla Hicks, Margaret Floyd, Edith White, Kathy “Cat” Rylee and Sadie Hicks.

He is survived by his partner of 45 years, Joyce Hicks; three sons, Chris Wooten, Kevin Wooten and Keith Wooten; several stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
