Estel (E.L.) Maxwell, age 84, of Lookout Mountain, Georgia (formerly of Scottsboro) passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at NHC Healthcare in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.  Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 1:00pm EST at the R.D. Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, Georgia with Brother Ricky Wooten, Brother Eddie Saint, and Brother Elda Culpepper officiating.  Burial will follow at  Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro, Alabama. Mr. Maxwell is survived by his wife - Dorothy Maxwell; sons – Ladd (Angela) Maxwell, Dale (Robbie) Maxwell and Michael (Kelley) Maxwell; daughters – Pamela (Don) Thomas and Lynn (Bob) Cole; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brothers – Floyd (Carolyn) Maxwell, Lester (Lenita) Wooten and Ricky (Carolyn) Wooten; sisters – Ethel Hendrix, Betty (Buddy) Hastings, Linda (Rayford) Otinger and Wanda (Robert) Shoemaker; mother – Maunee Maxwell; step-children –Margarette (Barry) Harmon, Clifford (Sharon) Hartline, Sherry (Michael) Fowler   and John (Regina) Hartline; their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife – Dot Maxwell; parents – Elbert & Arbainer Maxwell; great-grandson – Austin Hardeman; brothers – Bob Maxwell and Mack Maxwell; sisters – Frances Hawkins and Sandra Maxwell. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 1:00pm-9:00pm EST at the Moore Funeral Home, 11910 South Main Street, Trenton, Georgia. Pallbearers will be Jake Veal, Bryan Hawkins, Jace Davis, Tim Bryum, Anthony Maxwell, and Caleb Maxwell. Arrangements by Moore Funeral Home, Trenton, GA.
