Doyce Elwin Price

Doyce Elwin “D.E." Price, age 80, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2023 in Haines City, FL (formerly of Bryant, AL).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 2:00 PM ET at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 12:00 PM ET until the time of the service. 

Born to Doyce Webster and Bonnie Lynn Wade Price, Elwin was a cherished son and brother to his siblings. He was known for his love of his family and had an unwavering passion for fishing. Elwin enjoyed a successful career in the trucking industry, where he owned over 60 trucks. He drove more than 5 million miles on the road, leaving an indelible mark on those he met along the way. He will be missed dearly by all those who knew him.

Elwin is survived by his dedicated wife of 28 years, Lawanda Price; sister, Dana (Mark) Poulton; son, Kevin Beard; daughters, Carmen Hawes and Candy (Tracy) Smith; grandchildren, Jonathan (Crista) Lawson, Tiffani (Brian) Sims, Kendra (Joseph) Coleman, and Keller Beard; great-grandchildren, Madelyn (Courtland) Peterson, Hunter Oden, Zander Lawson, Garrett and Hunter Sims, and Kayla Henley.

In addition to his parents, Elwin was preceded in death by siblings, Edward Lebron Price and Lynne Martin, and son, Steve Price.
