Trenton, GA: James Douglas (Doug) Miller, 82, passed away July 24, 2012. He is a lifelong resident of Dade County, retired from Combustion Engineering, former Dade County Commissioner of Roads and Revenue 1972-1976, was a member of the St. Elmo Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Millie Miller, son Marty Miller, sister Naomi Graham. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Evelyn Tinker Miller, son Wayne and wife Debbie Miller of Knoxville, TN, daughter and husband Anita and Winfred Keith of Lebanon, TN; five grandchildren, Chris Miller, Joshua Miller, Amanda Lussier, Trey Keith, Tyler Keith; five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM EDT Friday, July 27 in the Trenton Chapel with Minister John T.Smithson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hooker Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Doug Foster, Lanny Haynes, Bernard Keith, Tommy Lowery, Newt Palmer, and Dale Tinker.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM EDT Thursday and 10-11 AM EDT Friday.
