DONALD GIFFORD
WILDWOOD, GA: Donald Ray “Duck” Gifford, age 70, passed away February 19, 2014. He drove for Averitt Express and was of the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles (Shorty) and Nell Gifford; brothers Roy Lee Gifford, Charles Henry Gifford; sister Edna Tate.
Survivors include his daughter, Karen Preston; sons William Ray Gifford, Trenton; Wallace Edward Gifford, Ider, AL; two sisters Patsy (Lloyd) McElhaney, Valley Head, AL; Terry (Charles) Lofty, Trenton; brother Richard (Donna) Gifford, Wildwood; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 22, at 11:00 AM EST in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Bro. Don Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Head Spring Cemetery, Valley Head, AL. Visitation will be Thursday 2:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM; Friday 2:00~8:00; Saturday 10:00 ~ 11:00 AM
