Jack Donald Everett of Trenton, GA. passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the age of 85.
Don (Gramps to all of his grandsons) was born and raised on Lookout Mountain August 14, 1935 to father Porter Everett and mother Carrie Massey Everett. He worked on a small farm and helped drive the school bus while he was in high school. That is when he met the love of his life, Martha Ann Castleberry Everett. She rode his bus, and he could tell you what she was wearing the first time he saw her. He married the love of his life Martha (Granny), and they were married on February 28, 1958, a total of 63 years. He honored his Country by serving in the United States Army.
Don was a machinist by trade and retired from Chattanooga Tufters. Then, together with his youngest son, Scott, they grew the tufting business.
Don (Gramps) was preceded in death by his parents Porter and Carrie Everett, his twin brother Ronald Everett, and brother-in-law Bill Combs.
He is survived by his wife Martha Ann Castleberry Everett; children Jeff (Kathy) Everett, Steve Everett, and Scott (Kelly) Everett; grandchildren Caleb (Emily) Everett, Ethan Everett, Makain Everett, Makinley Everett, and Orey (Brittany) Yates; sister Maxine Combs, and sister-in-law Elsie Everett; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens with Brother Billy Wallace officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 10th from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM at the Trenton Chapel.
