DONALD MICHAELS
BLAIRSVILLE GA: Donald Lee “Don L” Michaels, age 73 passed away at his residence, Monday, February 1, 2016. He was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran and member of Coosa United Methodist Church. He had worked in the food service for Union County School. He was a member of the Optimists Club, Trenton, GA and the Gulf Shores, AL. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed teaching his great grandson to hunt and fish. He hunted in Germany with lords, barons, and baronesses at their castles in Heidelberg, Germany.
He is preceded in death by his son, Gregory L. Michaels, Carrizo Springs, Texas; parents Claudy Lee and Edith Lois Michaels of Chattanooga, TN. and his in-laws, Winferd and Verna Hartline of Trenton, GA.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Nadine Michaels; daughter, Audrey Marie Michaels, Lafayette, Georgia; daughter-in- law, Tina Ann Michaels, Carrizo Springs, Texas; sister, Sherry Cavin, Ringgold, Georgia; brother, Ricky (Vickie) Michaels, Lookout Valley, Tennessee; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, February 6, 2016 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Rosser officiating. Burial will be held in Reeves Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM
Saturday 11:00 AM ~ 1:00 PM
