Dewayne Lloyd Lawson

Dewayne Lloyd Lawson, age 63, of Trenton, GA passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, July 24, 2023. He was a beloved husband, father, son, and brother who will be dearly missed by those who had the pleasure to know him.

Dewayne was born in Fort Oglethorpe, GA on December 24, 1959 to Amos and Sara Allen Lawson. He had a deep love for his family and cherished the time spent with them. His son Matthew was his pride and joy, always by his side assisting him with his duties. Dewayne found solace in farming, fishing, Alabama football, and caring for his neighbors.

He is survived by many loved ones including his wife of 38 years, Kim Lawson; son, Matthew Lawson; mother, Sara Lawson; siblings, Terrie (Robert) Higdon and Jeffery (Rhonda) Lawson; several nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Amos Lawson; uncles, David and Ernest Lawson; and aunts, Anna Bible and Mary Hodge.

A visitation will be held at the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm.
