He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ruby Powell.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Powell; sons, Danny Michael Powell, Jr., David Michael Powell, James Edward Powell, Dee Allen Powell, Darryl Mathew Powell, Shane Allen Powell; sisters, Kathy Gross, Patricia Pate and Sandra Taylor; brother, Willard Hawkins; four grandchildren, Jeffery Blake Powell, Barbara Diane Powell, Jessica Marie Powell and James Edward Powell, Jr.
A Memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Sunday January 18, 2015 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Heath Morton officiating.
Visitation Sunday 2:00 PM ~ 4:00 PM
