Danny Parrish

Henry Daniel “Danny” Parrish, 75, of New Salem, GA passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021 after an extended illness. He was born February 8, 1946 in Chickamauga, GA to the late Manuel and Elaine Parrish. He grew up in Chattanooga Valley and graduated from there in 1965. Danny served four years in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid during the Vietnam War. He married the late Barbara Gray Parrish and had three children: Casey (Michael) Newton of New Salem, Tim (Tena) Parrish of High Point, GA and late infant son Corey Parrish. He worked for Cobble Brothers in Chattanooga, TN and retired from Roper Corporation in Lafayette, GA. Danny spent his adult life on Lookout Mountain in New Salem and was an avid fisherman and Atlanta Braves fan. He loved his family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife, son and parents, Danny was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Parrish.

He is also survived by his sister, Sandra Jenkins, five grandchildren, Tyler and Sydney Newton, Destin, Taylor and Hannah Parrish, sister in-laws, Doris Davis and Nina Wildman; and brother in-law, Super Gray.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM ET on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, GA. He will be laid to rest at Hawkins Cemetery in New Salem..

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3:00 – 7:00 at the funeral home.
