RISING FAWN, GA: Daniel Leland “Pat” Murphy, age 83, passed away September 23, 2015 at his residence. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who loved gardening and farming. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Korean War and is a member of Trenton United Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by his son, Ricky Murphy, parents John and Bonnie Murphy, brother Jim Murphy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Vala Murphy; sons Michael (Lisa) Murphy and Glen Murphy and Laura Cross, all of Rising Fawn; eight grandchildren; brothers Johnny Murphy and Jack Murphy; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM EDT Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Reece Fauscett and Reverend Dennis Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM EDT ~ 8:00 PM EDT Friday, Saturday 10:00 AM ~ 2:00 PM at the Trenton Chapel.
