Mr. Chris Wendell Mccormick

TRENTON, GA: Chris Wendell McCormick, age 59, passed away August 5, 2020. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who never met a stranger and loved to joke around with everyone. Chris was passionate about sports and politics and was retired from TVA. He was a member of Straightway Baptist Church. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jean Massey McCormick, brother Connie Wayne McCormick and nephew Stephen McCormick.

Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-seven years, Penny McCormick, daughters Jennifer McCormick and Miranda (Roy) Adair; son Michael McCormick; four grandchildren Tori and Taylor Reed, Kayce and Blake Adair; father Wendell McCormick, nieces Kristen, Stephanie and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM EDT Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Gary Bone and Brother Sam Whited officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 7, 2020 from 2:00 PM EDT ~ 8:00 PM EDT; Saturday 10:00 AM ~ 12:00 PM EDT. Please continue to follow the CDC guidelines for social distancing. Masks are strongly encouraged.
