Christopher Lee “Bruzer” Holifield, 48, of Trenton, GA passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 30, 2022.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, GA. He will be laid to rest at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 31, 2022 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the funeral hour.
Chris joined the City of Trenton Fire Department at the age of 14 in 1987 and later served as lieutenant. He worked many years at Gill Manufacturing and was a member of Trenton First Baptist Church. Chris loved being a stay-at-home father for many years after he was no longer able to work. He could be seen around the community in his red golf cart after he could no longer drive. He enjoyed time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, and attending the annual Georgia/Tennessee football game with Larry Moore, Dell Nelson and Dusty Nelson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Eunice Holifield and Leonard and Linda Jeffery, sister Cheryl Little, and brother Jeff Jeffery.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Loren Holifield and Brady Holifield; the mother of his children, Michele Holifield; beloved Mimi, Margaret Barton; bonus daughter, Molly Trantham; sisters Amy (Elbert) Williams and Christy Smith; and brother, Kenny (Nancy) Jeffery, several nieces and nephews; loyal friend, Mickey Moore; and a host of lifelong friends and Fire Department brotherhood.
