Charles Julian Stakely, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and veteran, passed away on May 19, 2024, in Rising Fawn, Georgia. He was born in Bradley County, Tennessee, to John Howard and Ocie Mae Watson Stakely.
 
  Mr. Stakely served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1964. He went on to establish a successful construction business in North Georgia, where he dedicated 40 years of his life.
  
  He was preceded in death by his parents, John Howard and Ocie Mae Watson Stakely, brothers Raymond E. Stakely and James L. Stakely, brother-in-laws James Davis and Raymond (Joe) J. McMahan, sister-in-laws Beverly J. Stakely and Shirley M. Stakely, and daughter-in-law Mary R. Stakely.
 
  He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Joyce G. Stakely; son Timothy D. Stakely; daughters Carol L. Stakely-Staggs (Chris) and Trena S. Kloss (Scott); grandchildren Corey N. Stakely-Staggs (Lorelei), Carson E. Stakely-Staggs, Kyler L. Kloss, Jaxon E. Kloss, Carter S. Stepanich, and Gianna R. Stepanich; brothers and sisters Melgena S. Davis, Robert C. (Margaret) Stakely, Melvin (Darlene) Stakely, Glenda S. DeFriese, Vivian S. McMahan, and Mitchell H. Stakely; special mother-in-law Mary Frizzell, as well as 6 great-grandchildren.
 
  A service to honor and remember Charles Julian Stakely will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery on a date to be determined. His legacy of service, dedication, and love for his family will forever be celebrated and cherished.
