Charles Grady Sharp, 81, of Cedar Bluff, AL passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Jimmy Black and Steven Johnston officiating. He will be laid to rest at Mount Olive Cemetery in Lookout Mountain, GA.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM and on Sunday from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour.
Charlie “Grady” was born November 21, 1940 to the late Frank and Nora Sharp. He retired from Planters Snacks in Chattanooga, TN after many years of work. Charlie was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. He passed down numerous hunting stories to his grandchildren that they will remember forever. He was a member of West Brow Free Holiness Church and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Freeman “Shorty” Sharp and Truman Earl Sharp; and sister, Peggy Rollins.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth “Liz” Sharp; daughters, Cynthia Dianne (Donald) Harmon and Angie (Clint) Johnston; son, Rick Sharp; sister, Daisey Smith; brothers, Marcus “Duck” (Pat) Sharp, Glenn Sharp and Lamar (Lois) Sharp; grandchildren, Jeremiah Harmon, David Harmon, DeWayne Harmon, Matt (Laren) Harmon, Nicole Sharp, Zoey Sharp, Nick (Maria) Cloud, Holly White, Steven (Hailey) Johnston, Nichole Trahan and Ian Johnston; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
