CAROLYN WOOLBRIGHT YORK
TRENTON, GA: Carolyn Woolbright York, 71, of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in DeKalb County, Alabama. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was born in Trenton in 1941 and graduated from Dade County High School in 1958. She was retired from the Dade County School System and touched the lives of many young students as a paraprofessional in special education and the library. She also touched the lives of many older students with her work in the GED program.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her son, Robert L. York, parents Robert P. and Edith McMahan Woolbright, and brother Jim Woolbright.
Survivors include her sons Ken York, Jr. and Danny J. York of Trenton, sister Linda (David) Brandenburg of Rising Fawn, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to Friends of the Dade County Library, Trenton, GA 30752.
A private service will be held at a later date.
