CARL CROSS WILDWOOD GA: Carl Eugene “Lolly” Cross, passed away at his home, Friday, May 11, 2018 surrounded by his family. A lifelong resident of Wildwood, Georgia, Lolly made his home there after his service in the United States Air Force. Carl served on the Board of Dade County Family & Children Services. He was a farmer after retiring as a lineman for Bell South, playing in the dirt at his creek road home was one of his greatest joys. In his later years, he often watched the Price is Right before heading outside for the day. An avid gardener, well known for his green thumb and recently spent time outside tending to newly planted fruit trees, he could grow anything successfully. He found great joy in sharing his bounty with family and strangers alike. Lolly was preceded in death by his parents, Lettye Wilson Cross and Clarence “Shine” Cross; five brothers, Ray, Jack, Clarence Jr., Donald and Fred along with three sisters, Mary Ruth, Faye and Doris. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Bertha Mae Cross; sister, Janet (James) Hixon; two children Mark and Connie Cross and two grandchildren, Zach and Beth Cross along with several nieces and nephews. Lolly was a husband, father, veteran, gardener and best Paw-Paw ever. He was a member of Hooker Church of Christ and a man known to be strong in his faith. A special thanks to Amedysis Home Health, Home Care Solutions, Siskin Hospital and Tapestry Hospice Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, May 14, 2018 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Milton Stephens officiating. Interment will be held in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Sunday 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM Monday 11:00 AM ~ 1:00 PM
