Ernest Burton Ott, age 83, passed away October 4, 2022 at his home in Higdon.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM ET on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Billy Black officiating. He will be laid to rest at Poplar Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM (ET); Friday 11:00 AM to service time.
Burton was born June 13, 1939 in Trenton, GA. to the late Ernest and Lou Annie (O’Dell) Ott.
He was a member of Union Baptist Church, Flat Rock, Al. and a veteran of the US Army. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren, who he loved dearly. He will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Burton was preceded in death by his sons, Curtis Ott and Keith Ott, and brother, Cecil Ott.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of fifty-five years, Minnie Ott; sisters, Mary O’Dell Little, Kathleen Anderson, Esther Lancaster, Zella Edgeworth, and Wanda Smith; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
