Mr. Bruce Dockery

Bruce Verlin Dockery, 70, of New Salem passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 17, 2022 with his family by his side. Bruce was born November 5, 1951 to the late Owen and Senith Dockery. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and cutting firewood. He was proud member of New Salem Baptist Church and retired from J&J Contractors of Chattanooga, TN after 40 years of service.. Bruce was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Greta Murphy and brother in-laws, Junior and Ralph Murphy.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 43 years, Elizabeth Dockery; sons, Jeremiah (Mandi) Dockery and Daniel Dockery; sister, Wanda Murphy; brother, Wayne (Mary) Dockery; grandchildren, Katie and Ryder Dockery; several in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, GA on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 4:00 PM ET with Brother Jim Hixon and Jim Blaylock officiating. He will be laid to rest at Hawkins Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
