Mrs. Brenda Delane Black
April 11, 1950 — November 7, 2021
Brenda Breedlove Black, 71, of East Ridge, TN, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 7, 2021.
Brenda was a graduate of Kirkland High School and Jones County Junior College. She was Church of God by faith. Brenda grew up in Chattanooga, TN and later moved to Mississippi where she became an LPN working in hospitals. She returned to Chattanooga in 1989 and worked in home health for a total of 35 years of service. After retiring, she enjoyed managing Marion County Park and spending time with family.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Elvin and Opal Mae Breedlove, brother, Sylvie Breedlove.
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Harold Gene Black Jr., four sons, Gene “Pete” (Connie) Black of Rossville, GA, Robert, Brian & Elvin Black of East Ridge, TN; sisters Linda Combs & Benita Long of Sand Mt.; grandchildren Delane, Issac and Melia Black, Morgan and Heather Frank; several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM ET on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, GA. She will be laid to rest at Shantytown Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM ET and on Wednesday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
