Mr. Bobby Gatlin

Robert “Bobby” Cecil Gatlin Jr., 79, of Sulphur Springs, AL passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, GA with Brother David Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
Bobby was born March 6, 1943 to the late Robert “Bug” and Cora Belle Dawkins Gatlin. He was passionate about his family and grandkids. Bobby loved the outdoors and watching sports. He was an avid bass fisherman and his favorite sports teams were the Alabama Crimson Tide and St. Louis Cardinals. He will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Beth Gatlin; and brother, Tommy Gatlin.
Left to cherish his memory are son, Bobby “Cliff” (J.P. “Pea-Dab”) Gatlin; siblings, Smitty (Patsy) Gatlin and Mary Sue Moses; grandchildren, Nick (Kara) Gatlin and Jake Gatlin; great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Marshall Gatlin; many extended family members and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Nick Gatlin, Jake Gatlin, Ernest McElhaney, Steve Blackmon, Paul Morgan and Ernie Ellerbe.
