Blana Love Millsap

Blana Love Millsap, a longtime resident of Trenton and Chattanooga, passed away Monday, March 17, 2025 at the age of 91.

A funeral service to celebrate Blana’s life will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Trenton Chapel with Pastor’s David Moses and Donny Johnston officiating. Following the service, Blana will be laid to rest at Oak Lawn Memorial Park in Bryant, Alabama.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the service hour.

Blana was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on June 7, 1933, to the late Ernest L. Love and Lillie Mae Newman Love and has resided for several years in Dade County. Blana was a 1955 graduate of the Baroness Erlanger Hospital School of Nursing and enjoyed many years of faithful service as a Registered Nurse with T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga. Her dedication and skill as a nurse were evident in the care and compassion, she exemplified each day. Blana had a special bond with her family, especially for her grandchildren whom she adored. She was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, the Tennessee Vols and enjoyed her hobbies of sewing and bowling.

In addition to her parents, Blana is also preceded in death by her stepfather, Rufus Wells; daughter, Connie Ann Millsap and grandson, David Edward “Eddie” Peterson, all were of Chattanooga, TN.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Erna Roger (Ed) Peterson, Angela Carol Rogers, Jason Trent (Leslie) Millsap all of Chattanooga, and Jenne (Ronnie) West of Bryant, Alabama. Grandchildren: Brent Sims, David Sims, Luke Kellogg, Steven Kellogg, Eric Peterson, Connie Millsap, Kellie Millsap Taylor, Ashley Millsap, Jennifer Rimas, Andrew Leon, Noah West. Several great-grandchildren, special friends and caregivers. Blana’s memory will continue to live in the hearts of her family and to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
