BILLY HIGDON
HIGDON, AL: Billy R. Higdon, age 80, passed away March 23, 2021. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Billy retired as Postmaster of Higdon Post Office after twenty-five years of service, and worked at Cagle Feed and Farm Supply for many years. He was a member of Rural Health Board and loved raising cattle and fishing. He proudly served his country in the US Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wesley and Lillie Higdon; sister Juanita Higdon; brothers Marlon Higdon and Chester Higdon.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Dorothy Higdon; daughters Dena (Johnny Whiddon) Pierce, Wendy (Amaury Lopez) Parrott; granddaughter Schaleigh Holt; great-grandchildren Weston Pierce, Coralie Holt, Orianna Holt; sisters Sharon Minor, Patsy Allison; brothers Conuard Higdon and Gary Higdon; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 at 3:00 PM EDT at Higdon Cemetery with Brother Edwin Spurgeon officiating.
