Betty Frances Ballard

Betty Frances Ballard, aged 85, of Fairburn, GA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Funeral services in remembrance of Betty's cherished life will take place on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 1:00 PM ET in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Brother Dewayne Moon and Luke Willard will lead the service. Following the ceremony, she will be laid to rest at Paynes Gap Cemetery.

Those who wish to pay their respects and offer condolences to the family are invited to visit the funeral home on Thursday from 10:30 AM until the service commences.

Born on April 11, 1939, Betty was the daughter of the late John Kenneth and Mary Ruth Jenkins Haggard. She grew up on Sand Mountain and attended school at Davis. Together with her late husband, Wayne Ballard, they relocated to Atlanta where they owned and operated Ballard Furniture for close to five decades. Betty was known for her unwavering faith and served as a true inspiration for her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Janice (Mike) O'Neal; her sisters: Rebecca Phillips, Julie West, and Kathy Pickens; her son-in-law Phillip West; sister-in-law, Katherine Gilley; five grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, Wayne Boyd Ballard; daughter, Kim West; and siblings Donald Haggard, Mary Smith, Martha Grimes, and Garland Haggard.

Betty Frances Ballard will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family. May she rest in peace.
