BRYANT, AL.: Bettie Louise Anderton, age 95, passed away July 22, 2020. Her life was devoted to lovingly care for her family. She was no stranger to hard work, making a garden, canning and freezing its bounty and enjoying her flowers. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was loved by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Anderton, son Eddie Anderton, son-in-law David Ray; parents Claude and Lilly Cloud; sister Mattie Mae Ott; brothers Claude Jr., Troy, Vernon, Ray, R.B. Bobby, and J.D. Cloud.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters and sons-in-law Linda Ray, Robin and Terry Spears, Tammy and Jimmy Doss; sons and daughters-in-law Douglas and Janeice Anderton, Carolyn Anderton, Roger and Amy Anderton; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 25, 2020 in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Steve Townson officiating. Burial will follow in Bryant Holiness Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Bryant Chapel Friday 4:00 PM ~ 7:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM ~ 11:00 AM EDT.
The family extends their appreciation to Comfort Care Hospice of Scottsboro and the caregivers that were so kind and loving to their mother.
