BUNT BATTLES
CHATTANOOGA TN: Bernie Ray “Bunt” Battles, age 78 born March 5, 1936 a long time resident of Trenton, GA , went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 4, 2014. He was a retired tool and die maker from D.M. Steward working 36 years; he had also worked at Lookout Valley WalMart for 9 years. He was an ordained deacon, an avid golfer and fisherman and member of Calvary Baptist Church, Red Bank, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernie B. Battles and Lottie Lee Battles Doyle and brother, Stanford Battles and an infant sister.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Barbara Kelley Battles; daughter, Melissa (Charles) Ellison and son, Danny (Melissa) Battles; brother, Don (Paula) Battles; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM EST Sunday, December 7, 2014 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Dwight Martin and Reverend Tom McGuirt officiating. Interment will be held in Trenton Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday 3:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM
Sunday 12:00 PM ~ 2:00 PM
