Beatrice W. Rumley, age 89, of Rising Fawn, GA. passed away on August 6, 2021. Beatrice was born January 8, 1932. She was the only child of Charles W. and Ruth Hester Williams and was a lifelong resident of Rising Fawn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph H. Rumley, who died at an early age.
She is survived by her children Beverly (Carlton) Stallings, Ted (Diane) Rumley, Benita (Stan) Gross, Carolyn (Mike) Wright, and Quinton (Rhonda) Rumley; grandchildren Lil' Ted (Desiree) Rumley, Dusty (Jacey) Rumley, Hank Rumley, Brandi (Tanner) Clark, Holly (Brandon) Whetzell; great-grandchildren Abigail Rumley, Lily Mae Rumley, Kaylee Clark, Huxley Rumley, Lincoln Rumley, and Collins Clark; and a host of friends.
Bea and Ralph owned the Georgia Game Park for many years. She was a strong-willed independent woman way ahead of her time. She loved buying and selling real estate and was always looking for her next adventure.
She was a business owner for over forty years in Dade County, past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Dade County Chapter #476, a charter member of the Tri-State Cattlemen’s Association, and a member of Rising Fawn Baptist Church.
She loved her children more than life itself. Mothers do not fear death. Their greatest fear is leaving their children in this world knowing no one will love them like her.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, especially her two little dogs Herschel and Ricky. A special thank you to all her caregivers who made her last years comfortable.
Funeral services are Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM EDT at Rising Fawn Baptist Church with Brother Tommy Crider and Brother Jerry Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in Hanna Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, GA and on Sunday from 1:00 - 2:00 at the church.
