ALPHA ROBINSON
BRYANT, AL: Alpha Jean Robinson, age 83, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at her home in Bryant, AL. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a member of the Mountain View Church of God for 46 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey Clayton and Alpha Omega (Landers) Pope, and brother Harvey C. (Buddy) Pope, Jr.
Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-four and a half years, Verlon Robinson, son Daryl Robinson, son and daughter-in-law Terry and Donna Robinson, one brother Barry Pope and wife Margaret, two sisters, Shirley Hicks and husband Clem of Bryant, and Lucille Howard of Trenton, GA; three grandchildren, Dustin Robinson and wife Candy, Jamie Higdon and husband Ryan of Bryant, and Jennifer Mays and husband David of Ider, AL; seven great-grandchildren, Michael and Gabriel Robinson, Jayla and Jenna Higdon, of Bryant, and Callie, Kensie and Cutter Mays of Ider, AL; nephews and nieces, and a host of friends
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Friday April 19, 2013 at Mountain View Church of God with Rev. Brad Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at the Straightway Cemetery in Bryant.
Visitation will be Thursday 3:00 PM ~ 9:00 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home; Friday 11:00 AM ~ 2:00 PM at Mountain View Church of God.
