SHERRIE SUTTON
Sherrie Joanna Sutton, age 80, of Trenton, GA. passed away July 20, 2022. She was born March 7, 1942 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Joseph Thomas and Leila Lee Trehern. Sherrie loved taking walks and riding her bike to enjoy some of the beautiful views that surround her home and picking blackberries along the way.
She was always overjoyed to have company and would prepare the most bountiful feasts, her most famous being her delicious gulf shrimp boils.
She kept and tended gorgeous flower beds and always had vegetables and fruits fresh out of her garden ready to go.
She was always generous with all that she had and was a very special mother, grandmother, sister, and neighbor who is loved by all that knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Sutton; sister, Hazel H. Stevens; brothers, Thomas Alton Trehern, Carl Homer Trehern, and Jim Trehern.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kathy Johnson; son, Roger Johnson; grandchildren Kristina Schultz, Alexis Johnson, Justin Johnson, Emilie Barr, and Cate Barr; sister, Delilah (Susie) Lee Ervin; brother, Joe Trehern; many nieces and nephews all over the country from Hawaii to Chicago to Florida to Nevada”, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM ET Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Trenton Chapel with Brother Eddie Cantrell officiating. She will be laid to rest at National Cemetery, Chattanooga, TN.
The family will receive friends at the Trenton Chapel Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
